How to compress the file size of a design?
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. To compress the file size of a design, start off by clicking the Download button on the top-right corner of the page.
2. This will bring up a small menu where you can adjust various options related to the output image, like file format, quality, and size.
3. Lowering the Quality slider will decrease the overall file size of your downloaded design at the expense of image quality, so it’s best not to set it too low. Instead, we recommend setting it at 80 to get a solid level of compression without sacrificing too much in the way of image sharpness.
However, if you’d like a higher-quality image for use with social media, then you’ll want to move the slider all the way to 100.
4. Once you’ve decided on the Quality level, click the Download button within the menu.
Note: Some formats like PNG do not feature a Quality slider due to their lossless nature.
5. The pictures below show the difference in file size when downloading your design in JPG format with the Quality set to 80 and 100. You’ll notice that the resolution remains the same for both, but the file size for the image set to 100 Quality is far larger.
